Summary of the course
It is clear now more than ever that early childhood experiences and learning play a crucial role across the lifespan. Ongoing studies continue to confirm that young children’s brains are flexible and ‘ready’ to learn and explore the world.
We start our learning journey by discussing developmental milestones that parents of young children should be aware of and monitor. At times, there might be delays in acquiring developmental milestones and this is when parents express their first concerns. We then analyse these common parental concerns and discuss the benefits and obstacles of early detection and diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder.
The most important part of the course explains:
- the benefits of early intervention
- ways that it can be delivered
- different models that are available
- practical implications
- strategies that parents can apply as soon as possible to boost their child's learning and development while neuroplasticity is at it's greatest
